First Grader

It has been a while since I have put any paintings of mine on my blog. This is a very busy time of year because I am trying to catch up with commissions with paintings of houses, inns, people and gazebos this summer . "First Grader" is a square painting I did this February of a little girl I photographed four years ago in a south Florida school where my sister Stephanie was assistant principal. Stephanie said to me this winter ,"When are you going to paint that little girl ?" I found the photo immediately (to my surprise) and painted this 24" x 24" acrylic. It sells for $1200 with a steel gray wood articulated frame Someone who works in a school system in the Boston area asked if I were going to make prints of this painting. So if anyone would like a giclee on canvas including the hand-painted 24" x 24" frame to match, it is $400 plus tax.
