On November 10th and 11th I taught a painting workshop at Cape Cod Museum of Natural History in Brewster on Cape Cod. I thought what a beautiful site for students to paint. The museum has cameras for students to take photos and then when down loaded from museum's computer and printer the students could use these photos as subjects for painting. Some students did take pictures but weather was not conducive for good photography so they used photos that they had brought to class. This painting of Wing Island, I did as a demonstration for class. I had taken the photo in September. I told the class that I would post this painting on my blog. I hadn't gotten it photographed until now. In the next few days I will post the other demo. On June 7th and 8th I will be teaching another workshop at the museum. I hope we will be able to get outdoors more to get some good pictures of this beautiful trail.
On January 23 I will be teaching a watercolor class on Wed mornings 9:30 -11:30 at The Cape Cod Museum of Art in Dennis. People who paint in acrylic and water-base oils are also welcomed.
In March I will teach another class at CCMA with emphasis on acrylic and water-base oils but watercolor is also welcomed. http://www.ccmoa.org/studio-art-classes.asp
If anyone is interested, they can call or view web sites of the museums for prices and sign-up. I hope to see you there!
