Breakwater Beach lV

  1. Well, it sure is nice to be able to put another image onto my blog, thanks to my Mac computer, not just Mac, my husband. This watercolor is 14" x 10" and was a demo for my watercolor class at The Cape Cod Museum of Art in Dennis. Again I showed how to paint the foreground large enough so that it crosses the horizon line. I also wanted to show how light the sand can be by only using a "touch" of yellow ochre . I demonstrated how to use the masking so that the light grasses and leaves can be seen too without painting carefully around them. I will be teaching another water media six-week class starting April 30th at the museum. This class will have all demonstrations done in watercolor but acrylic and water-base oil painters are welcome too! Please check my website for details.
