Well, it sure is nice to be able to put another image onto my blog, thanks to my Mac computer, not just Mac, my husband. This watercolor is 14" x 10" and was a demo for my watercolor class at The Cape Cod Museum of Art in Dennis. Again I showed how to paint the foreground large enough so that it crosses the horizon line. I also wanted to show how light the sand can be by only using a "touch" of yellow ochre . I demonstrated how to use the masking so that the light grasses and leaves can be seen too without painting carefully around them. I will be teaching another water media six-week class starting April 30th at the museum. This class will have all demonstrations done in watercolor but acrylic and water-base oil painters are welcome too! Please check my website for details.
